
Las empresas de la UE han aumentado su inversión en I+D por octavo año consecutivo. En 2017, invirtieron un 5.5% más en actividades de I+D que en el año anterior. Este crecimiento viene impulsado por distintos sectores como pueden ser: el automóvil, la salud y las TIC.
The EU Industrial R&D Investment Scoreboard is published annually since 2004 by the European Commission (Directorate-General for Research and Innovation and the Joint Research Centre). The 2018 edition of the Scoreboard comprises the 2500 companies investing the largest sums in R&D in the world in 2017/18.
The Scoreboard data, taken from companies’ latest published accounts, comprise key indicators on the 2500 parent companies and more than 700k subsidiaries that enable assessing companies’ economic and innovation performance. The 2500 companies, based in 46 countries, each invested over €25m in R&D for a total of €736.4 billion. This is equivalent to 90% of the world’s business-funded R&D. The Scoreboard includes a separate listing of the top 1000 EU companies with R&D investment over €8 million.
