SUMMARY:North Africa Europe Alliance NAEA Private Sector Working Group Virtual Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The NAEA Private Sector is based on piloting the AU-EU Platform in two regions of Africa\, North and West to define and plan optimum R&I in FNSSA\, by building on the characteristics of the region as well as the profile of its respective stakeholders\, and their readiness to join a multi-stakeholder AU-EU Platform.\nThe strength of the private sector in the region will enable to balance the North African R&I regional structures in FNSSA and participate to the establishment of relations and cooperation within the region. \nAs such\, the North Africa Europe Alliance (NAEA) Private Sector activities are meant to secure twin aims: \n\nmapping all categories of players within the “private sector at large” as guideline to the activities needed to secure a multiple perspective\, and propose the entities to become part of the NAEA.\nThis includes the participants to the first LEAP4FNSSA North Africa workshop held in October 2019\, as well as the targeted North African and European stakeholders key representative entities in the optimum extensive manner.\ncollect their needs and expectations on the type of activities and participation they would subscribe to in the NAEA. The outcome of these consultations will enable to define the interfaces between Science and Private Sector\, and feed into the design of the Africa Europe IRC (International Research Consortium) Multistakeholder Platform for R&I in FNSSA.\n\nTo this aim\, the workshop will discuss the African and European stakeholders\, entrepreneurs\, innovators\, and farming communities needs and expectations\, together with the funding opportunities\, for an improved cooperation within the design and implementation of FNSSA projects.\nThe workshop will be followed by working groups to jointly review the priorities and select the thematic areas of relevance\, whether based on teaming existing projects or initiating new programs\, to be included in the Africa-Europe Multistakeholder Platform. \n\n\n¿Cuándo?
