Mediterranean Diet: Secrets to a long and healthy life

According to the 2019 Bloomberg Healthiest Country Index, which ranks 169 countries on various health factors, Spain takes the crown world’s healthiest country due to “Mediterranean Diet”. Spaniards have the highest life expectancy at birth in the EU and are only behind Switzerland and Japan globally and the index provides insights and explanations about the health benefits of the Mediterranean diet. In light of this, Spanish organizations are taking full advantage of the ‘eat healthy’ trend and innovate to develop healthy food products with focus on quality and great taste.

This session will highlight use cases and best practices of Innovation in food R&D from some of the major and most innovative food companies in Spain, the session will be followed by a panel discussion that discuss the future of food and innovation.
